We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with POWERful Women, a professional initiative dedicated to achieving a gender-balanced, diverse, and inclusive energy sector. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission at Netwomen to empower women in all industries. About POWERful Women: 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹: Achieve at least 40% of middle management and leadership roles in the UK energy sector to be held by women by 2030. 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: Challenge the sector and energy leaders through initiatives like annual board statistics and the Energy Leaders’ Coalition. Support the professional development of women through programmes such as mentoring. Provide practical support to companies to enhance diversity and inclusion, and foster connections through events and networking. How it started .......................................................... How it's going ................. In 2015, when POWERful Women first started gathering data, women occupied just 9% of all board seats in the UK energy sector. 📈Our latest data, published with Bain & Company, shows that female representation has more than trebled since then. But there is more to do to get to gender balance at the top!
