The Product Chemistry team at EAS Columbia has recently expanded its offerings to perform explosivity screening with the PerkinElmer Differential Scanning Calorimeter DSC 4000 with Pyris Software. This screening classification is conducted according to the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, with samples that undergo the preliminary screening and classify as a UN Class 1 explosive substance or UN Class 4, Division 4.1 self-reactive substance necessitating additional testing. Requiring only a small sample size to conduct the screening, this analysis provides a highly accurate measurement of phase transitions and heat capacities to provide you with results you can trust. The EAS Hercules Structure Elucidation team has upgraded its instrumentation from the Thermo Q-Exactive (with UHPLC) high resolution mass spectrometer to the Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris 240 mass spectrometer. This will perform high-resolution accurate mass analysis, with and without higher energy C trap dissociation collision (HCD). A spotlight on Import Tolerance... Import Tolerance studies are residue studies targeted to harmonize the Minimum Residue Levels (MRLs) of the exporting country with the importing country. The studies are targeted at plant protection products already registered in the exporting country, where the locally established MRL is not in line with importing legislation.
