St. Joseph's Health Hospital is proud to be a DAISY Award Hospital Partner, recognizing our nurses with this special honor. Michele was nominated by a patient who connected with her as a virtual nurse, describing her as “incredible.” “Michele was full of empathy and compassion and information. She handled all my questions extremely quickly and explained everything. A truly one-of-a-kind human. She is amazing. She lifted my spirits when I was so frustrated and depressed.” Please join us in thanking Michele for her virtual nursing skills that put patients more at ease, and congratulating her for this nomination.

We are thrilled to announce Dan Drake as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Trinity Health’s three national continuing care organizations: Trinity Health Senior Communities, Trinity Health At Home and Trinity Health PACE, effective August 1, 2024. Dan, who joined Trinity Health in 2014, brings 25 years of leadership experience in long-term and community-based services to his new role. Most recently, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Trinity Health PACE, overseeing more than 20 programs across 12 states. In a joint op-ed in Modern Healthcare, Sr. Mary Haddad, RSM, president and CEO of CHA and Richard J. Pollack, president and CEO of the American Hospital Association, make the case that "healthcare leaders and policymakers must strive to ensure that all hospitals have the resources needed to provide the right care to everyone in their communities." They add that "for hospitals and health systems, sustained financial losses make preserving 24/7 access, quality and innovation incredibly difficult in the short term and nearly impossible in the long term."
