We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to oversee the operations of our aluminum distribution center located in Tomball, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring the timely distribution of aluminum products. The Warehouse Manager will also be tasked with implementing and maintaining safety standards, optimizing space utilization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Warehouse Manager Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate and schedule daily activities to meet business demands and customer requirements.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical inventory counts. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels. Implement and manage inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including performance evaluations and development. Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring clear communication and teamwork. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for warehouse staff. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Utilize warehouse management software and other tools to streamline operations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to achieve performance targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Manager Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role within a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the warehousing industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
