Hurricane season starts tomorrow, June 1, and it's shaping up to be a long one. NOAA released their updated predictions last week, forecasting another above-average season. Their predictions, with 70% confidence, lead emergency managers to expect 17 to 25 total named storms, with 8 to 13 of them becoming hurricanes, and 4 to 7 becoming major hurricanes. We encourage our clients and colleagues across the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts to prepare now for the season with evacuation plans, supplies, and emergency kits ready to go.
