We are thrilled to welcome all 16 of our 2024 North America summer interns as they embark on their 3-month program! Our interns will be contributing to a variety of departments within our ABS business, including accounting, supply chain, and breeding and genetics. To kick off their internship, we put their skills to the test with a fun "Build-a-Bovine" exercise led by Ellen Lai, one of our employees who started as an ABS intern herself. This activity divided the interns into small groups, each competing to draw pictures of both a dairy cow and a beef cow, showcasing superior genetics and desirable traits. Volunteer judges from our Product Development team rated the drawings and discussed which traits are preferred—and surprisingly, which are not! This exercise sparked great conversations and provided valuable learning experiences for everyone involved. Welcome to the Genus PLC family.
