FCN will be hosting a wide range of 'FarmWell' events throughout the year to bring our farming community together. FarmWell events include farm walks, breakfasts, BBQs and other fun activities. They are coordinated by local FCN volunteer groups, often in association with other organisations or charities, and provide an opportunity for positive discussions and sharing. Topics can include health and wellbeing, resilience and business planning. These events build upon our 'Yarn in a Barn' events from previous years, which saw hundreds of farmers and people in rural communities attending. You can keep up to date with our FarmWell events calendar via our website here: https://lnkd.in/eSyzjbQx - we regularly update this, so keep checking back for more details. If you would like to get involved in a FarmWell event or attend, please contact farmwell@fcn.org.uk. Our FarmWell website also contains lots of helpful information around a wide range of topics to support your farm business and health and wellbeing. Access our FarmWell website here: https://farmwell.org.uk/ FCN also regularly updates the FarmWell Wales (https://farmwell.wales/) and FarmWell Cymru (https://farmwell.cymru/) websites, which tailor information to farmers in Wales. #farmwell #farminglife #backbritishfarming #farming #agriculture #health #wellbeing

We're delighted to show our support for Mental Health Awareness Week, spotlighting this year's theme of movement. Working in the agricultural industry can be very physically demanding, but conducting other types of exercise or activity can be extremely beneficial to your mental health. Whether it’s taking your dog out for a leisurely walk, playing football with your mates or working out in the gym, activity outside of work is good for you. As part of our #LendAHand campaign, we have partnered with three farming charities to provide you with mental health support and guidance. Learn more about #LendAHand on our website: https://lnkd.in/e8EFV6sS
