The seed that grew into Daylesford Organic was sown over forty years ago when Carole Bamford recognised the importance and benefits of organic farming. What began as a simple passion for real food and a desire to feed our children better has become one of the most sustainable farms and retailers in the UK. We farm, make, package and source our products in a way that leaves the lightest touch on the planet, in harmony with nature – working with the land to regenerate and replenish. We champion an approach that rejects synthetic chemicals and harmful, intensive methods in favour of healthy soil, nurtured livestock, nutritious food and artisan craft. Our flagship location in the Cotswolds and four farmshops in London each have thriving retail and café spaces and we are always looking for dedicated, talented, passionate people who want to make a positive impact on the world. Earlier this week, The MICHELIN Guide announced their 2024 awards and we are delighted to learn that our restaurants at Daylesford Farm have retained their green star for another year. The award recognises restaurants for their sustainable and environmental practices. After more than 40 years of championing nature-friendly farming, it was a great honour to be one of the UK's first restaurants to be recognised by The MICHELIN Guide in 2021. Thank you to our wonderful teams in The Trough, The Old Spot and The Legbar who have worked so hard to maintain the standard and ethos of Daylesford.
