Wow, there’s a 100k of you! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating 90k followers on LinkedIn, and now we’re over the moon to reach this new milestone. Last week, we got together as a Comms & Engagement and Talent Team to talk about our LinkedIn highlights (and celebrated with cake!). We chatted through the posts that have received record amounts of reactions and could clearly see what type of content resonates most. From exciting new beginnings like opening stores and relocating office spaces, to our recent B-Corp announcement and behind-the-scenes glimpses of our employee-centric events and team-generated content. We all agreed that one thing was very evident and that is that we clearly have a really special community of people following our journey. Just as the sunshine makes an appearance, we are shifting our focus to Christmas, a very special time here at The White Company, and we need YOU to help spread the magic to our customers. We're looking for remote Seasonal Customer Service Advisors to join our Customer Contact Centre on a fixed-term contract over our busy Christmas period. We are committed to delivering excellence, but our customer service team are there when things don’t always go to plan. As a Seasonal Customer Service Advisor you will be responsible for listening to our customers, taking ownership and resolving customer cases, and being a brand ambassador. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, problem-solving, and achieving customer satisfaction. Packing for sunshine or embracing the joy of minimalist style closer to home, summer is about swapping out knits for linens and feeling the excitement of warmer climes in the air. While we patiently wait for the sunshine to arrive, there was no stopping us from celebrating all things summer at our Symons Summer Party last month. We were delighted to be joined by Rebecca Clouston, personal stylist, and Fiona Strang, TWC's Brand Communications Director who delivered an insightful masterclass on summer styling. Our customers enjoyed bespoke cocktails from our friends at Double Dutch, relaxed at our mini glow stations, gathered expert skincare advice from the team at Sarah Chapman, and chatted with Rebecca as she shared her summer secrets to creating confidence through styling. Our Brand Marketing team works incredibly hard behind the scenes to help our customers feel inspired and valued. Last week, to celebrate PRIDE month with our teams, we welcomed artist and illustrator, Ashton Attzs, into our Head Office to talk to our teams, in person and via live stream, about how she uses her talent as an artist to represent the LGBTQ+ community. The talk was hosted by our Senior L&D Manager, Shane Ashby-Roche (Assoc CIPD), who facilitated a beautiful conversation with Ash about their artwork, their online presence, how the sentiment and history of Pride Month can be recognised beyond the month of June and discussing what allyship means to them both. At TWC, we are committed to cultivating a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing their true selves. It was important for us to provide the opportunity for our colleagues to hear from Ash, who has trailblazed their way through the Retail world to represent the LGBTQ+ community through their powerful, inclusive, and vibrant creativity. We're excited to announce that 15 of our colleagues have been selected to pursue Funded Professional Qualifications (FPQs) this year! FPQs offer a fantastic blend of recognised qualifications and practical training, funded through the Apprenticeship Levy. Our talented team are participating in two FPQs: Level 4 'Retail Manager' and Level 5 'Coaching Professional'. Starting at the end of May, our Assistant Store Managers embarked on their FPQ journey with the Fashion Retail Academy and over the next 15 months they will be refining their leadership and operational expertise. And from June 27th, a selection of our managers will enhance their coaching skills with Leadership Provider, Knowledge Brief. We'll be eagerly tracking their progress and checking in with them along the way, so look out for further updates across the year. Best of luck to our fabulous 15.
