LinkedIn is a very good place for sharing knowledge, but at the same time, like for every social media, reality is a bit "polished" and seems that things work perfectly, nobody ever makes a single mistake and all products are simply perfect...but that's simply not true! 🤥 Yesterday, I got back from a service trip in the Netherlands and Germany during which I visited a couple of new customers who've been struggling in the last month, due to harsh weather conditions and few technical issues. So, Henning and I went there to make sure the robots were back on tracks again and kept weeding during the last weeks before the crop would be able to outcompete the possible weeds that would appear in the field 😁 The main struggle, this spring, has been caused by above-average wet conditions, which caused to halt the operations. However, compared to tractors, the robot weighs several tons less and therefore can resume operations earlier than heavy standard farming machinery...other than doing a much more accurate job. Especially the first customer we visited operates with the robot in a sandy-loamy field which, due to excessive rainfall, was affected by a significant compaction and, when drying out, forms a thick superficial crust similar to more clayey soils. Definitely not the most easy field to start with, the first year, but sometimes there's no other choice 😉 Fortunately, it's been a matter of adjusting some mechanical and software settings on the robots to resume the operations and keep the weeds at bay. The second customer, experienced a few technical issues, but luckily we figured out they were due to a cable not installed properly. Seems like everything is working properly now, but the FarmDroid Care team will keep a special eye on that robot, to make sure it keeps working as it should. Despite the difficulties and the fact that they seeded sugar beets for the first time, the farmer had amazing results and was positive about the operational performances of the robot...see the pictures to judge yourself 😃 All in all, I think we delivered a good service and it proof once again how close we are to customers to make sure every year is better than the previous. Meet FarmDroid – finalist for the Odense Robotics Company of the Year Award 2024! 🏆 FarmDroid produces autonomous field robots for the agricultural industry – in fact, they developed the world’s first seeding and weeding robot!  𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐧𝐨. 1 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭:  Founded in 2018 by Jens Warming and his brother Kristian Warming, the successful agricultural FarmDroid robot has taken over many of the fields in Denmark and Europe.
