Australian Brand. Feminine fashion underpinned by an effortless sense of cool. Partner of Thread Together.

About us

DISSH is an Australian fashion brand proudly owned, run, and led by women. The brand is known for its feminine silhouettes underpinned by an effortless sense of cool. Unravelling designer luxury into refined yet easy-going pieces that reflect our roots in the sunshine state of Australia. DISSH blends the elegance and consciousness of natural fibres with bold, modern designs to dress for life’s milestones and everyday moments with ease and style. With careful thought around the detail and longevity of every piece, our collections arrive with the seasons but become seasonless in your wardrobe. Owner and director, Lucy Henry-Hicks comes from a family of fashion retailers and has been in the business since a young age. In 2020, Lucy became the Director of DISSH and led the brand through a major evolution, soaring the brand to new heights through global expansion, re-defining the design and manufacturing processes and cultivating the online presence to connect with a diverse and inclusive community. DISSH has grown rapidly and we now have a team of 150 people across Australia. Our vision is to empower women globally and this starts at DISSH HQ - our employees are mainly women, all doing amazing creative work to build exciting opportunities and help the brand thrive. We hope our customers are empowered when they wear DISSH, finding a brand that speaks to their values and helps them dress for who they are. DISSH is made for the modern woman, and our designs are conscious, diverse, strong, bold and forward-thinking, just like her.

This Pride Month, we give back to the community that has shaped the industry we work in by supporting one LGBTQIA+ student. Meet our 204 Pride Grant scholar, Nathalie. As a brand and business that celebrates diversity in all facets, we put our values into action this Pride Month, investing in the future of fashion with the return of our Pride Grant. An Australian-wide initiative, this year we pledged $15,000 to the tuition of one LGBTQIA+ Creative Industries’ student. A QUT Bachelor of Fashion Design student, Nathalie’s story and talent was one we felt compelled to support. To ensure the industry we know, love, and work in continues to grow at the hands of those who bring new perspectives, new ideas, and new inspiration, we’re excited to announce Nathalie as our 2024 Pride Grant recipient.

DISSH. A film by Ramsay Hosn. As a brand inspired by nature and the places around us, we’ve captured our latest designs against the vast and varied shapes of Australia. From the dusty red soil plains of the outback and the wild shores of the sea to the passenger terminal by the Sydney Opera House, we take you on the road with us. Over four days, our team travelled between locations with photographer Kristina Yenko, videographer Ramsay Hosn, HMUA Cat Smith, and model and mother of two, Lea Seelenmeyer to capture the campaign. Showcasing designs that speak to our signature in relaxed and elevated form, these looks deliver our vision and values through clean lines, subtle detail, modern shape, and laidback luxury – an edit of our essence as a born and bred Australian brand. As an endless source of inspiration for our creative vision, we celebrate our roots and share the inspiring landscapes with our community around the world with. After all, ain’t she a beauty. - DISSH acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

TikTok Incubator Summit 2024 We recently had the pleasure of joining the TikTok for Business team and leading ecommerce brands in Noosa, for a three day Summit filled with culture, community and connection. The team shared insights on growth and creativity, with our very own Sarah Witherspoon joining the panel to discuss optimising platform growth. From breaking down the creative codes, to key macroeconomic trends brands should be aware of, the Summit was filled with invaluable insights. (We've never been so excited for a Monday to share our learnings with the wider team). Thank you again to the TikTok team for hosting an incredible few days. We can't wait to put our learnings into action and already have our sights set on next years event!

A NIGHT IN NYC We took a bite out of the Big Apple with an intimate dinner to celebrate the launch of Vol. 24 Drop II at the latest hotspot in town, Jean's. New York based Aussie creative, Lucinda Constable of The Table designed a decadently polished tablescape for our guests to enjoy. At the table were friends of the brand including Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Chrissy Rutherford, Jelena Weir, and Linh Miller, styled in pieces from the latest collection. As the rain grew heavier outside, we connected with guests over dirty martinis as we slipped into a New York state of mind.

DISSH x LA Sometimes you have to put down the Pinterest board and live like the locals do. Plus, as it turns out we're more inspired with an Erewhon, Hailey Bieber smoothie in hand. Our design team recently relocated (temporarily) and immersed themselves in the culture of LA life, with a focus on the DISSH customer. Our team shopped, dined and people watched for new trends. Taking time out of the busy office environment and creatively realigning as a team. The team held creative sessions, sourced new materials and ideated future collection building with a focus on our Northern Hemisphere customer.

Our team recently headed down to the beachside Sheraton Mirage, for an enriching three days at the iMedia Brands, Inc. Online Retail Summit. The iMedia Summit is a place where leading eCommerce retailers and some of the industry's top technology vendors come together to connect, learn, and hear from experts in their field. With AI, personalisation and transparency at the forefront of this year’s topics, our team left eager to innovate with new ideas and iterate on current methods to navigate this ever changing space.
