Our team is just back from a wonderful week at Aspen Ideas! 💡 ✨ Read some reflections from our very own Greg Gershuny on what makes the event so special...🌍🌿💡 The real highlight for me was watching a group of artists building a bamboo sculpture in the middle of the campus. 🌿✨ They had no plan, no tools, and no scaffolding. The collaboration grew organically through mutual decisions by each of the more than a dozen artists who climbed up, often on each other's shoulders (literally), and placed each new piece of bamboo. 🤝🎋 It reminded me of how my program at Aspen has grown over recent years through the growth of good ideas that come from our colleagues and get placed on and with other existing programs. 💡🌱 But... As I've been reflecting more now that I'm home, it also reminds me of how we will ultimately solve the climate crisis. 🌍♻️ There is no one designer of the ultimate solution—no conductor of the symphony—who will solve climate change. The solutions that lead to an equitable achievement of net-zero emissions and resilient communities globally will be a random collaboration of millions of inventors, investors, policymakers, engineers, architects, business leaders, installers, electricians, and consumers making billions of decisions to lead us down the path. 🛤️🔧 We can't know what it will look like at the end. But we have to trust each other. And we have to stand on each other's shoulders. Together, we can build extraordinary things if we embrace the organic, collaborative, and sometimes unpredictable journey we're on. 🌟🚀 + Take a peek at some of the beautiful footage taken by Taylor Goelz 📸
