SR. MANAGER INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS & PROCUREMENT

Overview: GrowGeneration is one of the largest retailers of hydroponic products in the United States and is engaged in the business of marketing and distributing horticultural, organics, lighting and hydroponics products, including lighting fixtures, nutrients, seeds and growing media, systems, trays, fans, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, timers, instruments, water pumps, irrigation supplies and hand tools.

Position Reports To: VP of Supply Chain

Salary Range: $80K-$100K / DOE

Purpose of Position: Lead the efficient and cost-effective flow of products from suppliers to customers, enhance procurement strategies, and manage international logistics operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive international logistics and procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage and optimize the global logistics network, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the global supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability.
  • Lead the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and managing global supplier relationships to secure the best terms and quality for materials and services.
  • Oversee the development and execution of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Implement best practices in logistics operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with international vendors and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with domestic supply chain team to seamlessly integrate international and domestic logistics networks for the company.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing international logistics and procurement team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor supply chain performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics and procurement activities to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
  • Develop and manage the budget for international logistics and procurement.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in international logistics and procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing global supply chains and optimizing logistics operations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in procurement strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience with data analytics and supply chain management software.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
