The role:

The primary function for this position is to drive the sell-through retail sales, elevate Molton Brown positioning within prestige retail accounts. Reporting into the Field Sales Manager, the Retail Area Manager is responsible for executing the Molton Brown business objectives and strategies, promotional programming, upholding brand image and driving sales at the store level by building brand knowledge through continued education. Retail Area Manager is responsible for the sell- through follows, utilizes, and executes the trade partner side by side promotional calendar for all NPD launches, in-store events, and trade partners promotional activation to deliver sales growth.

This position is remote Texas, Dallas is main territory. Candidate must live within 20-mile radius of Dallas. 60-80% travel within territory.

What you will do:

  • Increase overall sales for Molton Brown with department and specialty store partners through negotiations with regional, department, and store managers.
  • Take a proactive approach in analyzing weekly retail sales by store, identifying key areas for improvement and potential opportunities for education, training, and events.
  • Adhere to monthly store visits based on a call cycle, report on merchandising presentation and inventory levels, and track sales performance by the door.
  • Foster and build strong relationships with the in-store retail leadership teams to ensure that Molton Brown is positioned in line with corporate guidelines, both in terms of space location and talent, within each beauty department.
  • Responsible for managing budgets and adhering to respective company policies and procedures, i.e., ROI/Target, freelance spend, T&E, and supplies.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of business, marketing, etc. required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales with a beauty brand.
  • Supervisory position in a service-driven environment is preferred (for future 3rd party partnership of working with a company who will represent MB in the field.).
  • Experience with presenting and conducting training sessions.
  • Proven success in building relationships and strong communication skills.
  • Experience influencing a sales team in-store environment.
  • Excellent MS skills:, including Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
