About us

Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization provided services and support to over 2,000 people living with disabilities and barriers last year across greater Nebraska. Sometimes these are individuals who face specific challenges, such as language barriers, a brain injury, substance use or physical or mental disabilities. Our services promote independence and access to the community, help people become successfully employed, support goals of wellness and recovery, teach responsible behavior and provide safe and affordable housing. The proceeds from the sale of donated clothing and goods in our retail stores provides funding for our programs and services. Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska is an independently run member of Goodwill Industries International. Our organization is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of local community leaders, who ensure we fulfill our mission and make positive changes in the greater Nebraska area.

Chief Executive Officer at Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska

Spent a few days with our retail team in our Scottsbluff store prepping for a remodel and expansion. Love how the space will look once we complete the new flooring and paint scheme. We are going to operate out of our 3,000 Sq ft expansion for a few weeks while the main footprint undergoes its transformation. Couldn't be more thankful for a great team who are always pushing ahead and keeping people at the center of what we do!

After 19 weeks of learning, engagement, & collaborating -Cohort 4 of Goodwill Industries International 's Opportunity Accelerator Fellowship Learning Pathway came to a close early Nov. It was a great opportunity to lean in on the framework we use. Goodwill's Opportunity Accelerator is a 3 step approach- 1. Assess 2. Equip 3. Launch to get individuals to their desired destination faster with fully wrapped around support & services. The next several months we will spend in our groups on our capstone and putting to work the insight we gained and advocating throughout the network. While it was definitely a balance- the 19 weeks flew by and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to learn & collaborate with colleagues from Canada to various parts of the US :-)
