JR Vinagro is seeking a dedicated, full time, Purchasing and Inventory Manager to join our team in Johnston, Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing:
    • Ordering Stocked Parts: Source and purchase necessary materials for production and maintenance
    • Managing Purchase Orders: Create, track, and close purchase orders
    • Coding to Assets/Jobs: Allocate costs to specific projects or assets
    • Researching Aftermarket Alternatives: Explore cost-effective options beyond original suppliers
    • Approving Invoices: Verify accuracy before payment
    • Handling Returns and Credits: Manage product returns and associated financial adjustments
    • Negotiating Price Breaks: Seek discounts for bulk orders
    • Ordering Steel and Oil: Procure essential materials
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitoring Stock Levels: Keep track of available items
    • Considering Lead Time: Factor in delivery time when reordering
    • Determining Stocking Levels: Balance supply and demand
    • o Generating Inventory Reports:
      • Shortages: Identify items with insufficient stock
      • Usage History: Analyze consumption patterns
      • Valuation: Assess inventory value
    • Setting Low Stock Alerts: Ensure timely restocking
Required Skills

  • Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to analyze data, trends, and inventory reports
    • Make informed decisions based on quantitative information
  • Negotiation Skills:
    • Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms, pricing, and discounts
  • Organizational Skills:
