Job Description: Project Engineer
Reporting to: Project Manager

System Integrator specializing in Assembly and Joining automation equipment.
We provide custom Turn-Key automation equipment from our facility in the Detroit metro area and service Tier 1 automotive suppliers throughout the Continental US, Canada and Mexico.

Position Description:
We are in need of an accomplished Project Engineer who would assist the project manager in all related activities related to project management.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for planning and tracking internal projects based upon leadership from the Project Manager.
Establish and maintain the project schedule using Microsoft Project and hold regular project meetings to monitor progress and identify any action items needed to maintain the project schedule.
Initiate and develop open issues matrix.
Track and route material purchased for the project to insure efficient procurement.
Lead Design Reviews internally and with the customer
Work with Mechanical and Controls Design to implement cost effective construction techniques.
Work with the Builders on the floor to resolve any open issues.
Influence manufacturing decisions that affect project completion or project budget.
Assure that the project is properly staffed and that the timely flow of information between all parties is maintained.
Education/Skills/Required Experience:
Higher Level Education preferred or Equivalent Work Experience
1+ years of experience in Industrial or Automotive industry
Ability and willingness to travel
Strong Microsoft Office and Project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills through communication, presentation and negotiation
Highly self-motivated and self-directed
Mechanically biased
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
