Job Description

As a Geotechnical Project Engineer with our company, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing field quality control tests, and resolving technical challenges. Your duties will include conducting geotechnical and structural analysis, preparing documentation, and fostering client relationships.


Requirements

  • 0-4 years of experience for Entry-Level positions
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, construction or a related field. Prior experience in geotechnical construction is advantageous. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, and site-specific guidelines.
  • Manage field quality control tests and maintain production records. Resolve drawing interpretation issues and conflicts.
  • Conduct basic field surveys and prepare drawings/sketches for construction support. Assist in preparing RFIs and change order documentation.
  • Track invoices, handle documentation, and manage submittals.
  • Perform detailed geotechnical and structural analysis in collaboration with the engineering department.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and clients. Maintain and establish relationships with customers.
  • Prepare geotechnical designs, cost estimates, and proposals for ground support solutions.
  • Communicate with clients, engineers, and architects to facilitate project contracts. Negotiate contract terms. Support marketing and business development activities, including attending trade shows and conferences. Deliver technical presentations to prospects and provide educational training.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Understanding of basic geotechnical design principles and calculations. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.


Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to traverse facilities in various weather conditions.
