Job Overview

Bellaserra Hotel & Suites (Tapestry Collection by Hilton) and Hampton Inn & Suites Paso Robles are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dual Director of Sales & Catering to lead our sales and catering efforts. This senior-level position will focus primarily on driving revenues for La Bella Serra while overseeing the Director of Sales at the Hampton Inn & Suites and the Area Sales Catering Coordinator who will support event detailing across three hotels in Paso Robles.

The successful candidate will mentor and coach the sales team, enhance profitability, and ensure guest satisfaction. They will have a proven track record in lifestyle brands and leverage social platforms to drive awareness and engagement. Creativity in storytelling and the ability to share the evolution of the new Bella Serra lifestyle brand is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Mentor and coach the sales team, including the Director of Sales at Hampton Inn & Suites and the Area Sales Catering Coordinator.
  • Set goals and expectations for direct reports, manage performance, and hold the team accountable for results.
  • Manage the Area Sales Catering Coordinator to ensure seamless event execution across three hotels.

Sales & Revenue Management

  • Drive bookings and increase profitability across corporate, social, and catering segments.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to maximize revenues.
  • Facilitate repeat and new business for catering events, exceeding sales expectations.
  • Enhance profitability through strategic planning and innovative sales techniques.

Client Relations & Satisfaction

  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with guests to achieve catering sales objectives.
  • Ensure internal and external guest satisfaction across both Hilton hotels.

Event Management

  • Ensure Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are complete and communicated effectively to kitchen and banquet staff.
  • Participate in weekly BEO meetings with FOH and BOH management teams to review upcoming events and address logistical challenges.

Market Analysis & Strategy

  • Develop new business opportunities by working with the Director of Sales to grow the corporate and social markets.
  • Understand market trends and develop growth strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor production of top accounts, evaluate market trends, and ensure accountability within the sales team.
  • Utilize social media platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Develop creative campaigns to share the Bella Serra lifestyle brand story.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and catering, with at least 1 year in a senior-level position in a full-service hotel or similar environment.
  • Extensive experience in catering sales and event execution.
  • Creative storytelling skills to effectively share brand evolution.
  • Strong Knowledge of Delphi Advanced, ideally 2+ years’ experience with Hilton systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful record of direct sales and new business development.
  • Knowledge of systems, technologies, and research and distribution channels related to sales preferred (e.g., Delphi, Meeting Broker, Cvent, Construct Connect, Kalibri, & ZoomInfo).
  • Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
  • Strong sales, speaking, writing, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • High-level expertise in the sales process.
  • Ability to develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.
