Applicant must have 5 years of relevant experience with the following:

  • Master of Science degree in engineering or biomedical engineering with a clinical engineering concentration is highly desirable
  • Credentials as a Certified Clinical Engineering (CCE) or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) by AAMI
  • Experience as an administrative manager of staff in a unionized environment.
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; exceptional service orientation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Joint Commission and other applicable standards and regulations.
  • Experience in the development of standards and policies across functional specialties.
  • Expert level experience (typically 5 years) in medical or technical equipment operations and maintenance management.
  • Management of staff and services of a bioengineering program in a large hospital or complex academic medical center environment.
  • Advanced electronic training including electronic theory and technology and familiarity with
  • applicable regulatory and inspection agency requirements
  • Expert level knowledge of industry trends and current patient care equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience applying new technology solutions to business and healthcare problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical principles and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
