Team Overview
The Global Supplier Management team is part of the Center of Excellence (CoE) IT Control and Service Management department within the IT organization. The team has representation across Europe (Amsterdam), Asia-Pacific (Sydney), and North America (Chicago) where the role will be based.
Due to the organization's global nature, this team operates within a matrix leadership structure. As a result, this position will functionally report into the Head of Global Supplier Management based in Amsterdam and a local manager based in the Chicago office.
Job Overview
The Supplier Manager coordinates with various local and global stakeholders across the organization, checking whether suppliers work according to the bank's standards and Third Party Risk Management framework. Connecting all the dots based on overview and knowledge, playing an important role in solving problems, and improving processes across departments. The primary scope will be on the local USA IT and business contracts, secondary scope on global contracts.
This is a hybrid position, that will require generally a minimum of three days per week onsite at the Chicago office location in the financial district of the loop. Potential for travel based on business need.
Job Responsibilities
Contract management - keep the contract portfolio in order, in terms of files and data
Advise and assist contract owners in managing their contract information, data and other experiences with suppliers
Monitor Third Party Risk Management controls and initiate improvement actions
Work on internal & external audits for continuous improvement actions
Participate in contract negotiations together with Global Procurement team, aimed at contractual improvements and lowering costs
Network and manage stakeholders like product owners, grid owners, and CoE leads etc.
Identify process improvement opportunities, as part of broader automation and simplification goals
Ensure all software licensing is current by tracking and planning with suppliers, product owners and support teams
Support across the CoE IT Control and IT Service Management Teams (list teams) when needed
Job Requirements
5+ years’ experience working within supplier or vendor management, specifically within a Third-Party Risk Management framework
Bachelor’s degree
Able to collaborate with diverse teams and staff of all levels
Detail oriented and deadline focused
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
Able to work independently and represent the department
Ability to support global working hours when needed
Ability to work a hybrid schedule with generally a min of 3 days in office
Nice to Have
Experience working in a highly regulated and/or financial industry
Experience working an Agile IT environment
Knowledge or Certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and frameworks
