We are very proud to be highlighted by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan as one of the key ways that OTPP is investing in more sustainable agricultural production systems. OTPP manages the retirement funds for 340,000 public school teachers and administrators. Their partnership is a tremendous asset!
Ensuring the world produces more healthy food in a sustainable manner will require changes in how we grow, transport, process and consume food. Here’s how we are making targeted investments in companies like Agrícola Cran Chile, Vayda, Aggraria and FirstFruits Farms LLC to support food production as we create value for our members. #InvestingToMakeAMark Explore the full report: https://ow.ly/wAOB50RtA00

At Vayda, we operate our Proving Ground farms so that we can test and trial different sustainable management practices. We are always looking for ways to improve the efficiency of our operations, especially when it comes to fertilizer use. This year we will be testing polysulfate as an alternative slow-release form of sulfur in row rice. We'll conduct a replicated strip trial that will evaluate polysulfate's impact on plant growth, nitrogen use efficiency, crop yield, and ROI compared to our standard application of ammonium sulfate. The results from this trial will be used to determine if polysulfate can be used more widely on our farms in future years 👀

🌎🌱 Happy Earth Day! Today we are celebrating our beautiful planet and the role farmers play as dedicated stewards of the land. Farmers have long protected and nurtured the Earth, and they continue to do so in exploring new sustainable and precision-focused farming practices. We recognize the important role they play in ensuring a thriving planet for generations to come, and are grateful for everything they do. Pictured below are cover crops from one of our fields this past spring. We love seeing life flourish on our farms year-round and witnessing the multitude of benefits they bring in building soil health. #earthday #agriculture #regenerativeagriculture
