Transform Materials are very excited to announce an important strategic collaboration between Transform Materials and Johnson Matthey, enabling more sustainable #PVC production. https://lnkd.in/eqeQdnjF Through this partnership, we eliminate the need for use of #coal in #PVC production, leading to significant waste reduction. Johnson Matthey's technology enables #VCM production through a greener, #mercury free route. The PVC made via this route will be the same high quality PVC as is made from traditional routes - with a reduced environmental impact. With this collaboration, Transform and JM also effectively introduce alternatives to capturing carbon in the ground, by converting gaseous hydrocarbons in their entirety to valuable PVC without generating #CO2 at all. All carbon from the feedstock is incorporated into the PVC, with the secondary product being #cleanhydrogen.
