One of the high-tech services MFA provides is Nutri-Track, a program that uses technology to put nutrients exactly where farmers need them. We're proud to share Darrell Ragsdale's story and how our MFA Precision Agronomy Specialist Brandon Hebbert worked with him to create a plan to improve the farm’s forage production efficiently and effectively. Learn specifics about the project and the tragic motivation that led to the change in approach to growing forages for this rancher in the latest Today's Farmer magazine issue at https://lnkd.in/gRFb7dhV

This summer, a 107-year-old building in Graham, Mo., is getting a modern facelift thanks in part to an MFA Incorporated Charitable Foundation grant. The Graham Community Betterment Association plans to repaint the town’s event center and tuck-point the mortar to make it more structurally sound. Local 4-H members have volunteered to paint the building, and the $2,000 donation from MFA will purchase supplies and help pay for the repairs. Constructed in 1917 as a garage, the building was renovated and turned into a community center in 1976 by Joe Vogel, father-in-law of the current Graham Community Betterment Treasurer Terri Vogel, pictured left. She and the association’s vice president, Randy Hankins, accepted the funds yesterday, June 24 from Nicole Goellner, assistant manager at MFA Agri Services in Maryville. They hope to have the work done in time for the town’s annual street fair in August. Terri Vogel told us "Our little town has a big sense of community, and everyone will be appreciative for this donation to help take care of it." Meet Jake Pfaff of Waycross, Ga., one of MFA’s 2024 Ag Experience interns. Jake is working in the Credit Department at MFA’s Home Office in Columbia this summer. His project consists of analyzing all of MFA’s input finance loans since 2015 to determine how to reduce bad debts in the future.  A student at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Jake is working toward his degree in agribusiness management. Day-to-day, Jake underwrites input finance loan applications for MFA customers. Throughout his time at MFA, he has traveled around the state with area credit managers, touring various locations to gain hands-on experience of what it is like to work in credit. When asked what his favorite part of working at MFA has been, Jake said, “It feels like being a part of a family here, and I like knowing that our actions are helping the farmers of Missouri.” Jake says his time at the MFA has taught him how to effectively work on a team and be a better communicator. Jake’s advice to future MFA interns is, “Don’t be afraid to ask questions and always be willing to learn.” Learn more about the Ag Experience internships MFA offers at: https://lnkd.in/gVAUhjWi #GrowWithMFA
