🎉 We're thrilled to announce the official opening of our new CHaRM DeKalb location!! Appointments are available starting June 12. Here are a few handy tips to make your first visit go smoothly. ♻️Our online booking system is now live--you must have an appointment to visit both locations. Booking appointments allows us to efficiently and effectively manage the flow of visitors to the centers. This also helps keep the lines and waiting to a minimum for our visitors. Book appointments at https://lnkd.in/euci4viF. ♻️For accurate driving directions, use the link to directions on our website when you book the appointment. You will be entering from the intersection of Columbia Drive and Belvedere Plaza/Columbia Village Center. ♻️We are accepting all the same materials we currently accept at CHaRM Atlanta (Hill Street). ♻️The CHaRM DeKalb location is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-2pm. VIP members have access starting at 8am on open days. ♻️Businesses visiting CHaRM must first register on our website before making an appointment. Go to livethrive.org for more info about business registration and pricing. 🌟We look forward to seeing you soon!

Creating a community that cares about a healthy and sustainable environment.
About us
Live Thrive is an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization working since 2010 to create a community that cares about a healthy and sustainable environment. We started as a blog sharing sustainable efforts of individuals, communities and local businesses large and small. To fulfill our mission, Live Thrive organized the city of Atlanta’s first household hazardous waste collection in September 2010. Attendance was well over 500 – diverting more than 75,000 pounds of waste from our water system and landfills. Over the next four years, Live Thrive organized nine additional events. Through these events, we realized the need for a permanent drop-off facility for these hard-to-recycle materials, and CHaRM was created. How do we teach our children to conserve and preserve? Simple answer: start early and lead by example! Live Thrive is working to bring environmental education to all levels through the CHaRM facility. It would not be possible to run the CHaRM facility without the support of volunteers and donations. Make your community a healthier place. Get involved!

💥Congratulations to our Live Thrive board member (and friend!), Meredith Lindvall for receiving the Governor Cox Award! Very well deserved.
Today at Cox we held our first all-employee meeting of the year, celebrating our accomplishments and the exciting days ahead. We also included a special guest: Michael Strahan. Michael is an Emmy winner, Super Bowl Champion and Peabody award winning journalist. He shared stories with us from working on Good Morning America, his time in the NFL and from his book, “Wake Up Happy.” We also celebrated the recent launch of Cox Farms. Led by Steve Bradley, Cox Farms brings together our controlled environment agriculture businesses — BrightFarms and Mucci Farms — into one organization. These businesses use greenhouses to create growing conditions that require less land, water and fuel — and use no harmful chemicals and no pesticides. The creation of Cox Farms is great for our company and a big win for retailers and consumers. Our Atlanta campus employees also had the opportunity to enjoy a pop-up farmers market and take home fresh Cox Farms produce to their families. Moments like these, where we come together and inspire each other through all the hard work happening across our company, are meaningful in many ways. It reminds us why we do what we do and shines a light on all the opportunity that’s before us. I want to thank everyone who joined us, and I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. #PurposeatCox

🌷Punxutawney Phil is calling for an early spring this year and we couldn't be more excited! Early spring means better weather for the final stages of our DeKalb location build-out! 🚧The curbs are in...we have newly planted trees and the perimeter fence is almost complete! We also have water and power, so we’re getting closer every day. Stay tuned for opening date news! https://lnkd.in/eXVv57wZ

💚 Happy #WorldKindnessDay! Today is the perfect day to kick off our holiday collection campaign. This year, we are collecting NEW toys for Atlanta Children's Shelter. Simply bring your toys to CHaRM before Dec 8 and we will deliver them for you! 🎁 The Atlanta Children's Shelter Holiday House event supports parents facing homelessness or who faced homelessness in the past by empowering them to shop for free at the shelter. Their goal is to alleviate the financial burden of holiday shopping while providing families with holiday cheer. In 2022, they were able to give holiday cheer to over 650 children. Let's help them reach even more in 2023!
