As we gear up for the back-to-school season, Good+ is dedicated to ensuring every student has the supplies they need to be successful this school year. Last year alone, our donation drives provided 10,263 school items and 721 backpacks & lunchboxes nationwide. By equipping our program families with these necessities, they can focus on their child's education, and not be burdened by the financial cost of school supplies. Research highlighted in the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) sheds light on a pioneering approach to addressing health disparities through direct cash assistance. Launched in January 2024, Rx Kids provides families with $1,500 during pregnancy, and an additional $500 monthly for the first year of a child's life, unconditionally and without verification requirements. This initiative, led by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, aims to mitigate the adverse health effects of poverty, a concept gaining traction in the U.S. amid global success in low and middle-income countries. Good+Foundation pairs product donations and Family Cash Grants, alongside direct service support offered by our partners. In 2020, Good+ began offering Family Cash Grants to address the diverse and immediate needs of families in response to the pandemic. Over the past four years, we've expanded the initiative and distributed more than $1.1 million in grants, with $300,000+ given to 1,501 families in 2023 alone. Making a difference, one clothing bundle at a time with The Children's Place ! Thanks to their generous donation of over 120,000 children’s apparel items, Good+ can provide essential clothing and accessories to the families we serve. Each month, numerous volunteer groups come together to support our mission by assembling clothing bundles for distribution, ensuring that children receive comfortable and stylish apparel for every season. Last month, Good+ joined our program partner, LSA Family Health Service, for their Father's Day celebration! Families enjoyed a fun-filled day with LEGO building contests, arts & crafts, and bilingual story time. Thanks to generous donations, every child went home with LEGO sets, crafty toys, and stylish accessories. Fathers and father-figures received thoughtful gifts to celebrate their dedication, including customized hygiene kits and summer essentials. Events like these not only bring joy but also strengthen the bonds that matter most. Good+Foundation is seeking an Individual Giving Manager to join our mission-driven team in our New York City office (hybrid role). The Individual Giving Manager will play a crucial role in developing meaningful relationships to secure vital funding from individual donors. Using a data-informed approach to their work, this Manager will develop thoughtful and engaging fundraising campaigns and appeals, design an annual cultivation and stewardship plan as well as support the CEO and VP of Advancement around Major and Principal donors. This role will work across the organization to ensure that Good+Foundation’s mission, impact and thought leadership is at the forefront of donor communications and interactions.
