In this article from the National Association for Interpretation, GAPF Volunteer Manager Grace Teofilo talks with Marissa Ginger about their shared experiences holding leadership positions and managing volunteers. The two compare their tips and tricks for managing both seasonal workers and volunteers in national parks. "I will always struggle with imposter syndrome, the feeling of not being enough, the fear of not having enough knowledge to lead. But, it’s those I am surrounded by every day, who lift me up, remind me what I’m doing this for, and encourage me to take those steps forward. Being new to this position is a gift, for I am encouraged to try new strategies, allow my creativity to flourish, and while I can’t represent all my generation, I can use my unique perspective being the age I am to provide a new voice." "Looking around, it was clear everyone felt at peace in the space. The sense of community was palpable. This was something special, a Tuesday morning routine that everyone around me looked forward to each week." Last week, GAPF's Ainsley Worthley attended her very first Sunrise Yoga session and gave us an eyewitness account of the experience! Read the full blog post on our website: https://lnkd.in/grt9QQDQ

Happy #GiveSTLDay! We're excited to see our wonderful community support the local nonprofits that help St. Louis thrive. ❤️ Today, all donations to Gateway Arch Park Foundation will go towards the Journey Fund - our program that supports under-resourced youth groups and schools in the St. Louis area and ensures that all schoolchildren in our region can have that quintessential “first” experience at the Gateway Arch. With just a $25 donation, you can support the following for one student during their visit to the Arch: 🚌 Transportation 🍕 Meals 🔝 Tram Ride to the Top of the Arch 🎥 “Monument to the Dream” documentary film 🚢 Riverboat excursion Thank you for your support and for helping all St. Louis children visit the Arch. 😊 Donate now: https://lnkd.in/dPYBqVu3

Thank you to Mizzou Magazine for featuring Lesley Hoffarth, Susan Trautman, Bill Reininger, and me, but more importantly the parks and greenspaces we serve. I am incredibly fortunate to call each of these people friends. We support each other, and have a lot of fun at the same time. St. Louis cares deeply about its parks. Gateway Arch Park Foundation, Forest Park Forever, Great Rivers Greenway, and Tower Grove Park are here because of this community’s commitment to these spaces. As a second generation Tiger, I am proud of my Mizzou roots and where they’ve led me today. MIZ!
