Today at the American Diabetes Association’s annual meeting — the largest conference in the field — BioAge CMO Paul Rubin, MD presented exciting preclinical data about our lead product candidate: In diet-induced obese mice, addition of the oral apelin receptor agonist azelaprag to an incretin drug regimen increases weight loss and improves muscle function and body composition. DIO mice are a key translational model for studies of obesity and other metabolic diseases.
