Today, on Social Mobility Awareness Day, is a great opportunity to reflect on the incredible young people from under-represented backgrounds we met yesterday, through the I have a voice CIC mentoring programme.   Arriving with open minds and bundles of questions, members of the Ellwood Atfield team put them through their paces on CV writing, social media use and interview techniques to help this group of diverse job seekers make their way into the world of policymaking.   As the leading headhunters specialising in the policy, advocacy and public affairs sectors, we’re acutely aware that more work needs to be done to drive diversity within our marketplace. EA is very proud to support such an important initiative which helps to ensure more socially disadvantaged young professionals have access to career opportunities that may not otherwise have been available to them. This is a critical way of improving diversity from the bottom up.    Congratulations to Rebecca Deegan and I have a voice CIC for identifying another highly capable and motivated group of young people. We've no doubt these will be faces you'll see in our industry for years and decades to come!     #ShareMoments #SocialMobility #Recruitment #Headhunting #EDI

Ellwood Atfield is proud to again be supporting the I have a voice CIC mentoring programme this year, a social enterprise that equips young people from under-represented backgrounds to develop the skills and experience they need to thrive in careers related to the policymaking process. As the leading headhunters specialising in the policy, advocacy and public affairs sectors, we’re acutely aware that more work needs to be done to drive diversity within our marketplace. This brilliant initiative goes some way towards helping to do just that at the grassroots level. Next week we will welcome this year's group of highly motivated mentees to Ellwood Atfield and put them through their paces when it comes to supporting with job applications and interviewing. Here are some photos from last time. We can't wait to meet this year's intake!

Ellwood Atfield's Insights Series - The Challenges faced by Corporate Affairs Directors: Learnings from 2023 and Predicted Trends for 2024 and beyond.... To mark Ellwood Atfield’s first year as a 100% employee-owned business, we’ve produced a Corporate Affairs Leadership report as part of our EA Insights Series. In the report, we interviewed 18 corporate affairs leaders to get their insights on the changing corporate affairs landscape in 2024 and their professional learnings from the past year. It’s been a challenging time for corporate affairs leaders to help both steady and build their ships amidst the myriad of political, economic and reputational challenges most organisations face. The professionals we spoke to shared their experiences and predictions of changing trends, the prioritisation of key skills and the evolution of corporate affairs functions. Key themes include: ·        The need to improve and diversify skillsets ·        Ensuring department structures are fit for purpose and demonstrate ROI ·        The importance of regular CEO access ·        The phenomenal pace of technology change and its impact on communications ·        The challenge of building share of voice around ESG ·        Growing geopolitical uncertainty ·        Navigating competing Global vs Local strategic priorities   The report also includes a brief ‘State of the Market’ overview of key facts and figures around Director-level hiring trends and work patterns. A huge thank you to the brilliant Corporate Affairs Directors who contributed their time and insights. To download a copy of the report, please follow the link: https://shorturl.at/lnu26
