Energy Autonomous Current Sensor Device INTEGRAL SYSTEM is now stocking TCT's E-Green LoRaWAN and Bluetooth LE enabled current sensor. Designed for use in IoT installations, this device supports battery-less operation - relying instead on energy harvesting (via induction from nearby power infrastructure). This eliminates the need for battery replacement and disposal - thereby reducing ongoing operational expenses. Wireless communication over distances of up to 5km is supported. Measurement data from the sensor can be read in real time through the dedicated mobile app especially developed by Integral System engineers in conjunction with TCT staff. Vincent Gache, Integral System’s President, notes “We are proud to present such a revolutionary product... Power Modules with Game-Changing Integrated Magnetics Packaging Enabling significant power density improvements to be derived, Texas Instruments (TI) has just announced a new series power modules, which are based on the company’s innovative MagPack integrated magnetics packaging technology. These power modules have 3A, 5.5A and 6A ratings. Their size is up to 23% smaller than equivalent modules from competing suppliers. Thanks to the power inductor built into each module, not only can space be saved and conversion efficiency levels boosted, but there are improvements in the thermal properties and the electro-magnetic interference (EMI) characteristics... Engineering the Optimal HMI: Why OEMs Need to Involve Experts Early On By Mark R. Widdowson & Kevin Pearson - Solsta - the new name for Solid State Supplies Ltd For original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the human-machine interface (HMI) is a critical element - enabling users to interact with or control devices and systems. Whether it's an industrial instrumentation panel, medical diagnostic equipment, or a self-service kiosk, the HMI's role is to bridge the gap between the operative and the technology itself. However, designing and integrating an effective HMI system is often more complex than many OEMs initially anticipate. A myriad of factors around the operating system (OS), environmental conditions, processing requirements and suchlike all need to be considered upfront. Failing to properly account for these variables within the early stages can lead to expensive redesigns or suboptimal solutions further down the line. One of the biggest challenges OEMs face is the natural tendency to approach HMI specifications from a consumer-product mindset. In our consumer-driven world, we're surrounded by sleek tablets and smartphones - featuring displays with impressive resolutions and compact form factors. It's all too easy for...READ MORE https://lnkd.in/ePgBtv8m Wendy Vinson Liz Churchman John Macmichael Jon Baxter John Fitzpatrick Lorna Lawson Rory O'Connor Tim Bullen Mike Cronin Chris Waldron Gareth Jones Sobaan Patel
