SVOM Mission launches successfully: scientists to study the most distant explosions of stars – Gamma bursts Photonis, part of Exosens is thrilled to announce that the SVOM (Space-based multi-band astronomical Variable Objects Monitor) mission has successfully launched into space with our cutting-edge Micro Pore Optics (MPO) detection technology onboard! Photonis Micro Pore Optics (MPO) are found on the MXT Telescope, alongside 3 other mission-critical instruments in the SVOM mission. The MPO’s, coupled with a pnCCD-equipped focal plan camera, will aid in capturing high-resolution images and spectra and will provide valuable insights into origins, composition and behavior of the Gamma bursts. By contributing to this mission, Photonis is helping scientists advance our understanding of the universe and its many wonders!
