Wrapping up my time at the World Agri-Tech Summit LATAM. I had the privilege of representing ONE SMART SPRAY, a Joint Venture of Bosch and BASF alongside the BASF Agricultural Solutions team. This summit is a key event in the agtech innovation scene. It was inspiring to see firsthand BASF's commitment to shaping a future-proof agriculture: at One Smart Spray, we are proud of being part of that journey! BASF has made a significant impact there with Ademar De Geroni Junior, Almir Araujo Silva, Patricia Ambrosio, and Mirella L. delivering insightful panels on open innovation, carbon farming, financial solutions in agribusiness, and the digitalization and decision-support systems in agriculture. 💪 The best solutions are only made possible by the best people! 🏆 Yesterday our very own Field Specialist Pascal Teppe was awarded #1 place at the Wilhelm Rimpau Prize! The award is given by DLG e.V. - German Agricultural Society to innovative and practical bachelor's and master's theses that bring progress to agriculture. 📜 Titled "Influence of a spot spraying system on residual weed infestation in sugar beet", Pascal's explored the application and results of the ONE SMART SPRAY system to a field, during the field trials of the sprayer being used to test and demonstrate the technology in a partnership between Bosch, BASF Agricultural Solutions, AMAZONEN-WERKE H. DREYER SE & Co. KG and the University of Hohenheim, as part of the European Union's LIFE Programme. 📈 The study showed that in that particular field, very significant savings (63%) were achieved while maintaining excellent weed control. Moreover, it had a positive impact on crop growth, with less metabolic stress leading to larger leaves. It shows the enormous potential of the system to help farmers achieve maximum possible savings for each field while making sure their weed control is still top-notch! Congratulations Pascal! ONE SMART SPRAY is arriving commercially in the country with Caimán! 🎪 Following its innovative tradition, Caimán is announcing the alliance for the integration and commercialization of the system during AGROACTIVA SA 2024, held from today through Saturday Armstrong, Santa Fe, Argentina. 🚜 The solution will be factory-integrated into Caimán's SP Dual Spraying System self-propelled sprayer line. Visitors to Agroactiva 2024 will be able to see the integration and functionalities of the solution up close at the Caimán stand, in location 244 A. 📅 The new Caimán SP DSS self-propelled sprayer with the integrated ONE SMART SPRAY system will be available for sale starting in 2025.
