Where else can you meet the Minister President, his most accomplished minister and the Vice-Chancellor, all connected live? -- Well, at the SZ Sustainability Summit at the Munich Urban Hub in Munich!
Sustainability is more important than ever precisely BECAUSE there is still a mood of crisis in Germany!
After the brilliant opening of the summit by the Vice Chancellor, Robert Habeck, the Minister of State for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism, Michaela Kaniber, spoke about sustainable agriculture in Bavaria.
In a personal conversation with our CEO, Thomas Kuehn, it became clear that for Kaniber, insects also play a decisive role in sustainable meat and fish production.
For our Minister President, Dr. Markus Söder, sustainable agriculture also was the central theme of his appearance. When asked by Thomas Kuehn how we could strengthen sustainable agriculture, he replied as follows:
1. reduce bureaucracy
2. score points with regionality and our small farms, because
3. Bavaria has the best food
We at FarmInsect also see the reduction of bureaucracy as the key to innovation and speed for the sustainable transformation of agriculture. Our insect fattening systems have been designed specifically (also) for smaller farms; and yes, anyone who has ever tasted fish, poultry or pork fattened with locally produced protein instead of with imported feed can taste the difference.
