In the heart of every farm, in the rhythm of every field, there exists a strength woven deeply into the fabric of agriculture – the strength of women. On this International Women's Day, we celebrate the resilience, passion, and determination of women who labor tirelessly on the land, nurturing life from seed to harvest. From sowing the seeds of hope to reaping the fruits of their labor, women in agriculture stand as pillars of strength, breaking barriers and cultivating change. They are the stewards of the earth, the caretakers of communities, and the guardians of tomorrow's harvests. Today, we honor the invaluable contributions of women in agriculture worldwide, their unwavering spirit shaping the landscapes of our farms and the future of our planet. May their voices be heard, their efforts recognized, and their dreams cultivated as we march forward towards a more inclusive and equitable agricultural landscape. Happy International Women's Day to the fearless women who feed the world with love, dedication, and boundless resilience. Women in Ag, Empowering Women in Agriculture, Today and Every Day. Women's empowerment in agriculture is essential for sustainable development. When women have equal access to resources, such as land, credit, and technology, they can maximize their potential as smallholder farmers. This not only improves their livelihoods but also strengthens food security and promotes economic growth in their communities. Greeneden recognizes the vital role that women play as smallholder farmers and aims to provide them with the necessary support and resources to thrive. They prioritize empowering women by offering training programs, access to land and credit, and modern agricultural technologies. Through their initiatives, "Greeneden" aims to create equal opportunities for women in agriculture, enabling them to increase their productivity, income, and overall well-being. It's inspiring to see companies like "Greeneden" championing women's empowerment in agriculture! 🌱💪

💔 Our food systems ARE INDEED BROKEN 💔. 💸. The economics of our food systems are upside-down: CURRENT FOOD PRODUCTION SYSTEMS ARE EXTRACTIVE AND NOT REGENERATIVE. 🚜 Farmers are underpaid and told what to do by input manufacturers of seed, chemicals, fertilizer and practices that are killing up to 70% of our global food-producing landscapes. ⚕️ Consumers are ‘greenwashed’ and transparency about what is in our food is hidden while cancer-causing agrichemicals like Glyphosphate are found everywhere -- in our landscapes and in our bodies. 🌈 It’s finally time for the Women of the World to do something about this. 💪. If we are to feed global populations in 2050, WOMEN TRANSFORMING FOOD & FINANCE is a new effort being launched on November 14-15th in Atlanta. Part conference, part mastermind, and all about activating collaboration and solutions, it deserves everyone’s attention with sustaining, revolutionary new waves in knowledge and investment! #regenerativeagriculture, #womeninagriculture, #biodiversity, #soilhealth, #healthyfood, #soilmicrobiomes

As we look to the future of agriculture, its inspiring to see the field become equal; for me it's not about being a "boss" or "fighting" to be ahead or above, it's about evolving to be equal. 🙌🏽 This article highlights the emerging trend of women balancing a traditionally male-dominated field and with the power of allowing for balanced decision making through the inclusion of a female's perspective, intuition, and passion for cultivating land... I'm personally excited to see what happens next and know that the future of our food supply is in good hands 💚 "Today, women in ag are poised to do far more than make incremental gains in a male-dominated field; they are driving a tractor right through the industry's glass ceiling. Agriculture is on track to become female dominated — and we should all be grateful. Without the women who are inspired to make agriculture their passion and career, who would produce our food and fiber in the future?" https://lnkd.in/gD_KMTnW

We want to thank Beth Lorsbach, Tim Faveri and Karen LeVert for the excellent panel discussion that we had during The 2023 Radicle Inclusion Challenge presented by Nutrien Pitch Day. This panel was about the Multinational Agricultural Company's Perspectives on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Agriculture faces major challenges globally on issues of DEI, from the farm level through the supply chain. We assembled a panel with our CTO, Neal Gutterson, as the moderator, and three leaders of major international ag companies to talk about the challenges they have within their walls as well as the challenges their companies face navigating their supply chains. They discussed the nature of those challenges, programs, and initiatives they run today to address them, and the progress being made. We ended with a perspective on what's most urgently needed to bring greater equity, particularly for women and members of underrepresented minorities. 56% of U.S. farming operations are female-operated and those farms account for 38% of U.S. agricultural sales. Women continue to play a growing and integral role in global food production, yet they face barriers to career advancement to senior levels and farmland ownership. As leaders in natural capital, Nuveen Natural Capital strives to elevate the role of women in ag and create a more inclusive and gender-balanced industry. I attended the WOMAG event with panelists Cherie Tan and Cindy Lim, and it was incredibly insightful. We discussed the challenges of agriculture in 2024, focusing on climate adaptations, local supply chains, and the importance of farmers in decision-making. Weather Challenges: Agritech organizarions need to be prepared for big changes to adapt to the climate. They should restructure for quicker decisions, making the decision process more decentralized. Sustainability Concerns: We talked about the importance of sustainable practices and soil quality. It's crucial to ensure that what farmers plant and produce can be sustained for future generations, especially in Asia with its many small-scale farmers. Carbon Credits: Carbon credits are set to become increasingly important. However, the challenge lies in deciding who should pay for them. Should it be big corporations, farmers, or consumers? This is a complex issue that requires careful consideration. Transparency and Trust: Building trust is key. We discussed the importance of transparent reporting and certifications for things like carbon credits. It's important to make these certifications more accessible, especially for small farmers. Women in Agriculture: One topic that resonated with me was the role of women in agriculture. I believe that women can bring a unique perspective to the industry. They should lead with authenticity, and embracing gender differences can lead to positive changes.
