Beyond Odds (a seed stage EdTech startup) is looking to hire an 'Associate Director - Growth' at Beyond Odds. This person will lead our SEM, SEO, Product Marketing, Influencers, PR and Brand Marketing efforts with the help of a lean in-house team and external partner/ agencies. This is a hard target-oriented role - the person has to deliver a certain number of 'Qualified Lead' every quarter (that will eventually lead to a paying customer) through organic and paid marketing. To understand 'fitment', please read below before you apply/ recommend someone: Budget: We ideally want to close this position at (~25 lacs Fixed + 15-20% Variable + Stocks). Stocks will be much higher and meaningful for someone who is not optimising for the cash part. I recommend that you should apply (for this role) only if your current fixed salary is between 18 Lacs to 35 lacs per year. We are a seed stage setup, and can't win talent only on money. Location, flexibility: We work from our Bangalore office, 6 days a week. We welcome you to apply (only) if this works for you. I get that you want to hire people that can "hit the ground running". However, insisting candidates have 10 years experience doing exactly the same thing, with the exact same tech/ products, at a "direct competitor" will stifle innovation and creativity. Hiring someone of high aptitude who's excited and motivated (and meets 50% of the criteria) will lead to different questions, alternate ideas and a fresh perspective. Hiring someone who's been doing the same thing for 10 years and meets 100% of the criteria (but is bored) will lead to repetition, stagnation and demotivation. Great people want to be challenged and to learn. Great management want to develop people, push boundaries and constantly challenge the status quo. Or you could just be one of those people who's "always done it this way" Up to you.
