🌟 I feel Hidden Trail just keeps getting a better place to work at! 🌟 I'm thrilled to share a sneak peek of the internal culture development at Hidden Trail, one that highlights how our people are committed to creating the best possible culture! 🚀 Some of you might be aware of Hidden Trail's trip to Berlin earlier this spring. But it wasn't all fun and games. We also engaged in some serious workshopping: Our very own Jani Grönman facilitated a session where, together with everyone, we focused on what makes our culture great and what we need to do to preserve those qualities and improve others. 📈 From this, we have now developed a Company Constitution that serves as our moral compass, guiding our decision-making. This constitution ensures that our culture remains aligned with our values and safeguards our employees' rights. It is a tool that everyone can use to make decisions and to intervene if they feel like their rights are being threatened. 📖 I won't post the full constitution, but as a sneak peek, here are the established five fundamental rights: The right to come as you are The right to make an impact The right to grow The right to participate The right to speak out These rights empower our people to be authentic, contribute meaningfully, and help steer our collective journey in the right direction. 🗺 Stay tuned for more updates as Hidden Trail continues to shape a workplace that values every individual's voice and potential. ✨ Does your workplace have something similar to this? Feel free to share your experiences! #CompanyCulture #WorkplaceValues #EmployeeRights #CultureDevelopment #HiddenTrail #EmployeeEmpowerment #Teamwork #Leadership #WorkplaceEmpowerment #SneakPeek #BusinessEthics #Workshop #OrganizationalValues

“Do we really need to document our mission? Isn’t it obvious what we do?” Over the last quarter, we worked together with the Skedda team and Lever Talent, Inc. to document our Mission, Vision & Virtues (“MVV”). As a company that is 10+ years old, some might be thinking - why now? Here are the reasons we think it’s important to have a documented MVV: Guidance and Direction: A clear mission ensures we are all working in the same direction. It outlines the company's reason for existence and what it aims to achieve. Ideally, it also clarifies what you are not doing. Cohesive Company Culture: Virtues define what sets working at Skedda apart. Our core virtues are the characteristics we value most in our team. They are what we seek when we are looking to add to our team and what we reward when we are promoting within our team. Attracting the Right Talent: Prospective employees seek companies with a strong sense of purpose and values that resonate with their own beliefs. To create our MVV, we worked with the existing team to understand their experience and what they thought differentiated their Skedda experience. This included company wide focus groups and a Senior Leadership offsite. With almost the whole company participating, we are thrilled with the results! Check out our final results here: https://lnkd.in/eWZstErC

Get everyone in a company aligned, all rowing in the same direction, and magic happens. Matt Hodges is one of the best marketers I've worked with. He's also one of the best early stage company builders out there. When he joined Equals (we're lucky to have him!), the first thing he did was run us through an exercise he did at Loom (and other companies he's advised). Through it, we codified three statements: ⭐️ Our vision (a north star that ideally never changes). 🎯 Our mission (a uniquely differentiated approach to market). ✅ Our strategy (~1-2 year initiatives). Sounds simple. But it was a pretty involved process. I'd articulated versions of these in the lead up to this exercise. Same with Ben McRedmond. Same with Chris Burgner. Now we all speak the same language. Point back to the same statements. Most importantly, the company is clear on where we're going and how we plan to get there. They guide not only what we build, but how we talk to the world. Live today, Matt shares an open and step-by-step guide on how we did the exercise and where we ended up. 👇 https://lnkd.in/eKJ8vp2v

In 1997, I wanted to help build the best company in the world. The problem: I didn’t know sh*t about business. JMARK struggled during those early years. Hard. We took on clients who weren't a good fit just to keep the lights on. We cut our company down to a team of 6. We barely scraped by to make payroll. But somehow, we kept going. Because we realized that the key to true growth and success was aligning our company with the right processes. The right values. The right culture. That meant: → Identifying & living by a set of core values. → Creating repeatable processes for maximum growth. → Fitting the right person to the right role. Fast forward to 2024, and we are: → The #1 Best Place to Work in the 417 → One of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing companies → 125+ JMARKians strong Now, this wasn’t easy. By any means. It took every single person at JMARK to help us get to where we are today. And had I known then what I know now, I’m sure I could have saved everyone a lot of time, energy, and frustration along the way. That’s why I wrote Adapt or Die. So other business leaders and entrepreneurs could build better leaders that build better companies and change the world. Without spending 25+ years getting there. If you want actionable insights and proven processes from someone who has experienced the same struggles in a no-BS guide, then this book is for you. I’m excited to celebrate the third anniversary of Adapt or Die on May 19. So, if you’re ready to build the best company in the world, grab yourself a copy: https://lnkd.in/gP7kUyxQ
