I think we're at a crazy juncture. In 5 years... There's going to be those who've intentionally built a presence for themselves online + those that practically don't exists. And it might seem more obvious for those of us who are building a business to need to have a purposeful presence online, but I believe this is even going to apply to those working for others. Totally out of the blue: "Do you like what you do?"💬 I've never had anyone ask that before so was shocked to hear it from a prospect. We had just finished talking about some of the risks to her business when she asked that and followed up with "the way you explained that was simple and enthusiastic" It made me pause and reflect. The truth is, I love what I do. I'm an insurance nerd.🤓 Helping businesses navigate their insurance needs and ensuring they're protected is a passion for me. Your organization is more than just a business. It's peoples lives, investments and legacies, it should be treated as such. 🏢💼🏅 But insurance is tough - and you hear way more bad things than good. However, this conversation was a nice reminder that enthusiasm and clarity in communication can make a huge difference. Choosing a career in insurance isn't just about the monetary gain. At its core, it's about a genuine desire to assist and guide others, especially clients. If you lack this intrinsic motivation, the pursuit of money alone won't sustain you in this field. Learning to simplify the process is key. Our minds tend to complicate things, but in reality, success comes from running enough appointments and being transparent with clients. Understanding your clients is another crucial element. They are individuals actively seeking help, making them a vulnerable group. It's our duty to lead them, to be both assertive and empathetic.
