Israel Launches Accelerator Plan For Renewable Energy Initiatives In 20 Municipalities As part of the “Accelerator” plan to advance renewable energy initiatives at the local level, 20 Israeli municipalities, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, will develop a comprehensive strategy. The mini-grids sector in Africa has come a long way in recent times, and the continent is now being recognized globally for its renewables capacity. Initially designed for areas far from the grid, mini-grids have evolved into a viable solution for countries seeking to increase energy access. The ESMAP - Energy Sector Management Assistance Program and The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) held the '7th Mini-Grid Action Learning Event' held at Safari Park on February 27th - March 3rd to discuss on the regulations, policing and accessing financing for these projects.
