You are never too old, too fat, too geeky, too anything that stops you from doing something amazing! Like do a fetish photoshoot! Body confidence is how a person feels about the way they look. When we have body confidence we accept, and are happy with, how we look and what our bodies can do. The body is an amazing biological engine that keeps us breathing, moving, seeing, hearing, tasting, laughing, and we should celebrate all the wondrous things that it does every day for us! Here are some ways to work towards body acceptance: * Focus on what your body can do. * Eat foods that are satisfying and make you feel good. * Change the way you talk and think about your body. * Stop comparing yourself to others, or to a past version of you. To quote Meryl Streep, “Don't waste so much time thinking about how much you weigh. Bands name their albums. Sailors paint boat names on the stern of their ships. Partners pick loving nicknames for their girlfriends and boyfriends. And those of us who love the purr of an engine come up with car names that impress all our passengers. Face it: Finding car names that are not only fun and cool but also perfectly suited to your vehicle is one of the simple pleasures of owning a car. You might need great ideas for red, black or white car names, or maybe you’re hunting for funny car names that’ll make you laugh every time you get behind the wheel. Giving vehicles feminine names is a modern take on boat-naming tradition. In history, ships were frequently named after women or goddesses. And it makes sense because ships would routinely carry their crews safely in their bellies, delivering them to ports around the world, just as a mother carries and delivers her child. Plus, as Britain’s Imperial War Museum notes, referring to ships as “she” has to do with beliefs in feminine figures (think: goddesses and mothers) protecting the vessel and its crew.

Imagine how powerful we could be, if we stopped listening to our inner saboteurs. Especially when what they’re saying is a bunch of rubbish. My inner critic, Brumhilda, tells me I have to make myself small until I get my glow up moment. I don’t deserve nice things until I become “thin” and “pretty” enough. Who has time for that nonsense? Shut up Brumhilda! I got things to do and fabulous pink suits to wear. With the help of the brilliant Melanie Moss, I got in front of the camera for first time. And I felt great. Am I a natural model? Hell no. Do I look good in a bright pink suit? Yes I do. The whole session took 30 minutes and we got loads of fabulous shots. Next time I’m wearing leopard. If you’re looking for a headshot photographer who can do wonders with even the most camera-shy like me, I can’t recommend Mel highly enough. And the business moral, for we must have one? Dive into your discomfort zone and do it anyway. You might even like it. Sashaying into the week like 💅🏻 What’s on your to-do list this week?
