It’s #MacallanMonday once again and instead of posting jokes and silly stuff, I like to keep it real here, even though it is April 1! . When the #MacallanFineandRare was launched in 2002, the #Macallan1926 was the anchor of that collection, which counted 27 different vintage expressions, all from #SingleCasks and bottled at #CaskStrength - today, the collection counts 61 bottles officially and lots of things have changed. Originally, this 1926 was offered by @the_macallan for £20,000 and there were no takers, for it took them a while to convince anyone to spend that much money on a single bottle of #whisky - fast forward to 2024 and this bottle is easily worth upwards of $2 Million, due to the scarcity and also desirability. There were originally just 40 bottles that came out of cask 263 in 1986, but only 14 of these bottled with this label, and some have been consumed, as I personally can attest to…how many remain?
