Even the most clever bolt needs a backup system to interpret the situation. Our Analytic software doesn't only give you the overview and the alerts when something is about to happen with your bolted joint, but also the insight of how to prevent unnecessary downtime or even accidents. It's all about being ahead - before.

#10 Machine IoT ROUND TABLE vs. ONE-on-ONE - Which is better for understanding customer needs? When a Machine IoT program is kicked off it typically starts with a round table. A round table brings key people and stakeholders who are responsible and affected by the IoT projects together. This type of meeting generally saves time by getting people in the same place where they can participate and shape the overall solution. Round Tables are great when collective input on a solution, for example, user experience and key features are being discussed. Round Tables are not effective when a deeper needs analysis is required to understand various use cases, workflows, and specific needs from different departments such as marketing, sales, engineering, service, etc. Hosting multiple One-on-Ones is critical to developing value. Sitting down with individual stakeholders allows program and product owners to uncover the unstated and secret needs people have - these are the needs that enable and empower people to do the best work they are capable of. We see too many organizations focusing on round table meetings to develop Machine IoT programs resulting in lost opportunities to really develop absolute value. One-on-Ones are avoided because they are time-consuming, and thought to be less inclusive than Round Tables. We find them essential to the overall success of the program. If you are not doing internal and external one on one's with your stakeholders, we highly encourage you to build them into your focus groups and feedback. In your One-on-Ones ask these questions - what data would be critical to doing your job if you had it when you needed it? What blind spots in the information you have to make decisions keep you up at night? If money were no object, how would you automate machine data to eliminate menial tasks?
