When we started Small Girls PR 14 years ago, we leaned into our pride as a women-founded and women-owned company. We even put it in the name 😉 Now, we are thrilled to announce that we are officially certified as a woman-owned business through Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Transitioning from self-certification to formal recognition by WBENC underscores our commitment to celebrating diversity and excellence in all we do. We’re proud to have represented nearly 1 out of every 5 female-founded unicorns (woman-owned businesses with billion dollar valuations) from Stitch Fix to 23&Me. And to have partnered with women paving the way from Malala to Betsey Johnson herself. Interested in partnering with a certified diverse supplier? Email us at newfriends@smallgirlspr.com

I read an article on Forbes once about how successful entrepreneurs think differently, and as I was reading it I thought, what does that mean? Is it innovative thinking, or seeing opportunities where others can't or maybe it's being risk takers. Honestly after reading more about Sara Blakely, I realize that it's about the mindset. It's about resilience, purpose and above all an acceptance of your limitations and celebration of your strengths and wins. I've been focusing a lot recently into building that mindset and staying true to my purpose which has always been to help other businesses find a voice and grow. So here's to celebrating some wins and being resilient in the face of my limitations. Do you guys agree? If so, how have you worked on shifting your mindset? If you don't agree, I'd love to hear your thoughts about what makes successful entrepreneurs.
Sara Blakely went from selling fax from door-to-door, to solving a problem for millions of women, turning her solution into a billion dollar business. How? ➡ By taking inventory of her strengths & weakness. Sara Blakely knew what she was good at, and what she wasn’t. She knew that she had to use her strengths as a saleswoman to sell her idea. ➡ By staying connected to her higher purpose. She knew she wanted to create something that was her own, and make a difference in people’s lives. The lesson is, trust yourself. Find your purpose and follow it! #purpose #sarablakely #womeninbusiness #successtory #spanx #founders #inspiring

So happy to be part of this network: Find a Female Founder from Female Founders Rise and Emmie Faust. Being among a network of over 200 female founders, encouraging key stakeholders to buy and invest in female founders is so exciting. How conscious are you of who you're buying from when making purchasing decisions? I'm doing a lot more of this now and encourage others to do the same. If you fancy finding brilliant female founders to work with, hire, celebrate, and invest in, check out the list: https://lnkd.in/gxVZuccj #FindAFemaleFounder #FemaleFounder #ImageID A pink background with blue writing. In the top left corner is the Female Founders Rise logo and in the bottom left the SIC Logo. Writing says "Helpng Businesses to Develop Inclusive Organisations for Disabled and Neurodivergent Users" "FindAFemaleFounder.com" On the right there is a picture of me. A white woman in her mid-thirties wearing a denim jacket and a gold necklace. I have pale white skin and blonde hair. below the picture it says "Alice Hargreaves. SIC. Service Founder. We all know the tired trope about women being "great multitaskers," but we believe there's so much more to their strengths! Instead of focusing on a single skill, we decided to have some fun with a Women's Day bingo game. These bingo squares aren't just about juggling tasks, they are about celebrating the multifaceted contributions that women make every single day. Join the fun! Download our Women's Day bingo card, tick off the scenarios you relate to, and share it in the comments below. #happywomensday

Brand Design, Motion Graphics and Video Editing for Global Campaigns & Brands // Co-founder at Brave Bottega // Expert in Creative Direction
Sometimes we get to work with mic-dropping, bad-ass business owners who just… get it. And you don’t have to explain what IT is - because they already know. Country for Jane is one such example of mic-dropping, bad-assery (and as one-half of Brave Bottega is a women-uplifting lady cheerleader, she was whopping when we landed the gig). At Country for Jane, you won't encounter corporate clichés or egos. Just a team of Janes looking to get the best results for their clients while lifting up other women at the same time. Because women can multi-task like that (queue more cheering from the other half of Brave). Country for Jane needed a brand refresh and to let their flag fly high. We helped them do that.
