Performed UAV simulation of a kopterworx Quadcopter in a plant bed environment featured in ICUAS24 student competition. The simulation required inspecting bash, tmuxinator and docker configuration files to leverage the environment. Waypoints were conveyed by a ROS node utilizing PoseStamped messages of Geometry_msgs package to publish waypoints for the trajectory planner and Odometry messages from Navigation_msgs package to provide some positional feedback. The ROS node would publish waypoints to ROS Topic /tracker/input_pose via a publisher and simultaneously receive current orientation from Odometry topic via a subscriber called by a spinOnce() spinner. Once the UAV made it close to the waypoint, the next waypoint would be send until the UAV had gone through all three rows of the three lanes present before returning back to its original position. Note that this simulation was not submitted to the competition itself.

Completing the 27-hour Applied Control Systems 3: UAV drone (3D Dynamics & Control) course has been a wonderful delight. This course aligns with my thesis, which is about Validation Study on Quaternion-Based Control of Quadrotors Using Motion Capture Feedback. The course covers a comprehensive understanding of the quadcopter's control strategy using linear parameter varying model predictive control (LPV-MPC). Nonetheless, the mathematical model employing the Euler-Newton technique and the Euler rotation matrix is used in this course.
