Connecting diverse talent with inclusive employers at scale using proven digital strategies 📲 | Helped employers save £59,750+ on recruitment agency spend💰 | 2024 UnderOne Festival DEI Awards Judge | Founder & CEO
Once upon a time, I was insecure about my job. Specifically when I was working in Compliance. Full Disclosure: One of our employer partners is hiring a Compliance Analyst in their Paris office. Oui Oui! Paris! We are international now 🇫🇷 (scroll to the bottom for deets) Now back to my sob story. No one usually takes Compliance serious (till the regulators get involved). The common reasons: → "Compliance is just back office" → "Compliance is not revenue generating" → "Here we go again with the boring Compliance training" But I am going to convince you why you should consider a career in Compliance anyway. Particularly in the investment world i.e. Private Equity, Asset Management etc. My perception of Compliance changed when I moved into the investment world. In an Investment Compliance role, you get a front-row seat to all the action. It's very common to interact with c-suite executives as part of your day-to-day. As they are the ones usually undertaking material risks on behalf of the firm. I had casual relationships with the senior leadership team in my first compliance role. I saw them in board meetings frequently and used this as an opportunity to network. Having access to key decision-makers alters the way you think. You get: → A deeper understanding of how the business works → Most of the exclusive updates on the firm's key activities → Unparalleled insight into how leaders make critical decisions Compliance is one of the few departments where you get that much exposure at a junior level. My experience in Compliance was the foundation and stepping stone for me to eventually progress to a middle office role in Private Equity then Asset Management. Now, if you are still reading, I probably haven't convinced you yet Or You are a Compliance nerd. Either way, here's the deets... Role: Compliance Analyst Salary: €44,250 Industry: Asset Management (US Firm) Location: France, Paris To avoid any sort of confusion: →Already living in France, Paris →Willing to relocate Ideal candidate: →Internship experience in Financial Services →Some experience in Compliance is beneficial →Advantage if you can speak French, Spanish, Italian or German If you meet 50% of the criteria, shoot your shot (link in the comments) Quality CVs only. Good luck 🤞🏾 PS: A pic of me & Christian Belesi at our first compliance role in the US overindulging in the Hors d'oeuvres 🇺🇸🍤
