A lot of Advisers get pretty grumpy coming up to EOFY 🥵 All of the ADMIN, the follow up, chasing clients xyz... The result of being either: 1. Under-supported 2. Having to take on too many clients One thing we pride ourselves on at Pivot, is providing a top-tier service to our clients. Making sure that our T's are crossed, our I's are dotted & we're identifying every opportunity available to our clients. To do that, our Advice team needs to be supported & have the time to focus on exactly that. What we do is: 1. Every Adviser has a dedicated pod - Associate, CSO, Paraplanner. 2. They take on a book of absolutely no more than 100 clients. 3. "Business Engagement and Business Relationship Management are dying." Admittedly that stance is not the case everywhere. The organisations which I've been proud to be in, saw the clear value of a people-capability which evaluates and balances their cross functional demand; and translates into a stakeholder-approved, achievable pipeline of change. I have, however, seen a shift away from that model - toward a vertical demand, from common org customers / system and serviced through Product Owners. I see that model perfectly viable where change-boundaries (and dependencies such as budget and resources) are solely and wholly within the control of the Product Owner group. Where the vertical demand model risks falling short, is with change-portfolios across more complex.ecosystems and across org functions / customer group with a competing reliance upon - for example - constrained I&T budget and resources. That, for me, is the true value enabled with a skilled Business Engagement / Business Relationship Manager. What's your opinion? I offer a broad capability-set including Business Relationship Management. I'm currently available for opportunities in that space; locationally bounded by the M4 corridor down to Hampshire.
