From Problem Child to Beacon of Hope – The New Way of Dealing with Wastewater Two years ago, I took the "save the date" photo at the end of an exciting day at the fair. Even then, it was clear that I would not miss IFAT in 2024 either. As a Munich resident and convinced MVG user, my CO2 footprint of my visit is also rather low. However, the joy was great when Bentley Systems, as a German Water Partnership member, got the opportunity to give a presentation at the joint booth (B2.227/326). On May 13 at 11:30 a.m., I will present thoughts and suggestions on how our mindset managing wastewater could change. The issue of water is on the agenda of the UN, G7, EU, national bodies up to local operator level, with the wastewater component playing a central role in the water cycle. During my research, I was overwhelmed by the numerous innovative ideas and the great support I received on "Understanding wastewater as an opportunity". Will we see each other at IFAT as guests at the GWP booth? – If not please reach out to me directly – water is a topic I will always find time to discuss ideas and innovations. A big THANK YOU to German Water Partnership for being an amazing host. Cecília Correia, Sandra DiMatteo, Richard J. Vestner, Slavco Velickov, Bernardo Matos, Thomas D. In Plumbing Manufacturers International's June Ripple Effect. PMI CEO/Executive Director Kerry Stackpole IOM FASAE CAE writes about how the possibilities of water were explored at the recent Emerging Water Technology Symposium (EWTS). "EWTS 2024 provoked us to think deeply about the forces of change impacting our environment, illuminated essential solutions, and undoubtedly caused many of us to rethink water itself. It also reminds us, there’s nothing we cannot achieve when we work together." https://bit.ly/3Vw4cdQ #water #rethinkwater
