🔒 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 🚧🤔 🏰 In a world where progress and innovation drive us forward, it's important to pause and reflect on the wisdom of Chesterton's fence. This reminds us not to hastily dismantle something without understanding its purpose. 🛡️ Whether it's an old institution, a longstanding policy, or a metaphorical fence, they weren't created by chance. ⏳ They were built with intent and careful consideration. 🤝 Let's resist the temptation to discard the old in favor of the new simply because we assume we know better. 🧠 Instead, let's take the time to understand and appreciate the reasons behind their existence. Only then can we make informed decisions about their relevance in the present. 🚀 So, before we rush to dismantle, let's first explore and comprehend the "why" behind the "what." 🤓 By doing so, we can ensure that progress is built on a strong foundation of understanding and respect. #ChestertonsFence #UnderstandingHistory #RespectThePast #WisdomofthePast #ProgressWithPurpose #linkedinlearning #Linkedin #secondorderthinking #decisionmaking #innovation #changemanagement

🎉PLEASE REMEMBER🎉 £10 Billion Pounds Gone The High Street Task Force, BIDs, and the BRC must acknowledge their shortcomings in reviving UK high streets. The current leadership, notably under Mark Robinson, has failed to deliver practical solutions and measurable outcomes. Neglecting expert advice in retail management and urban regeneration has put high streets at risk, leading to job losses and community disintegration. It is clear that urgent action is needed to incorporate real experts in the revitalization efforts. Embracing expert advice is key to overcoming challenges like changing consumer behaviors and online competition. By prioritizing expertise in retail, regeneration, and community engagement, stakeholders can pave the way for growth, job creation, and a thriving high street environment nationwide. The time to act is now. Let's ensure the long-term vibrancy and success of our high streets by valuing and implementing expert guidance effectively. #HighStreetRevitalization #ExpertiseMatters #UKRetailIndustry. #HighStreettaskforce #BRC #Future #EntrepreneurialShip #DigitalMarketing #Retail #VisualDisplay #VisualMarketing #Businesses #Management #Highstreet.org

In the serene expanse of Braunstone Park, under the guardian-like embrace of an aged tree, a single figure finds rhythm in his morning routine. It’s a dog walker, a regular perhaps, engaged in the simple yet profound act of walking his loyal friend. This image, captured in the early whispers of dawn, speaks to more than the beauty of Leicester’s cherished green spaces it’s a visual metaphor for leadership and companionship in our professional journey. In our careers, as in the walk, there are moments shrouded in uncertainty, paths enveloped in the mist of the unknown. Yet, much like the dog walker guided by the unwavering tree, we move forward, trustingly, with the assurance that clarity comes with each step taken. Today, let this scene inspire you. Be the steadfast tree in your network, offering support. Be the dog walker, leading with purpose and cultivating loyalty. Embrace the path ahead, even when it’s not fully visible, for it’s in these moments that our direction becomes clear. Join me in reflecting on the lessons nature imparts and how they can shape our approach to leadership and personal growth. 🌳 #LeadershipLessons #MorningMotivation #MindfulLeadership #BraunstonePark #LeicesterLandscapes #ProfessionalGrowth #CompanionshipInBusiness #NatureAsMentor #ReflectiveLeadership 🐾

I rescue overwhelmed CEOs from their operational chaos in 90 days to 10x their business & life. | Fractional COO | Leadership & Management Coach | Mastermind Facilitator
My uncle is from Long Island, NY and he visited ground zero shortly after the attack. This is what he found. As I watched the grainy VHS recorded video I was shocked at the eerie silence in one of the most energetic cities of America. I couldn’t hear anything but a couple of metal beams clanking together in the breeze. No people walking and talking, no birds, no car horns…no energy whatsoever. It was a gut punch to all of us and our country for sure, and to some it felt like a KO delivered by the enemy. But, in the coming hours, days and weeks people responded. They didn’t just lay down. This amazing hardship brought the people of New York City and the US together like no other time in recent history. There is something about tragedy that is beautiful despite the horror of it. It awakens us to what really matters in life, people. September 11, 2001, I saw people come together all across the nation and even world to rally with the citizens of New York City. This was the beauty that arose from the tragic ashes. I’ll never forget it. Also, I never want to miss an opportunity to spend time with people I care about because we are not guaranteed tomorrow. What will you never forget about 9/11 & how has it changed you? #911 #mondaymotivation #culture #leadership #management #sustainability #personaldevelopment #peopledevelopment #processimprovement #productivity

Sheena Iyengar is one my favorite people. I first learned of Prof Iyengar in 2010 when I was living in London, as her first book “The Art of Choosing” was making waves. It was a great introduction into the science of decision making and real life applications. Later in 2019, along with producer Ben Patterson, I had the chance to meet with Sheena in her offices at Columbia Business School. At the time she mentioned that her second book - “Think Bigger” - was in progress. I have a sense it will do for the #innovation world all that “The Art of Choosing” did for the #marketing world. Thanks to people like Sheena, big interesting ideas are explored and put into action. #ArtOfChoosing #ThinkBigger #NYC #DecisionScience #ChoiceArchitecture
Why I Love NY You might say it’s preposterous that a blind person likes New York. Busy streets, garbage, and scaffolding inundate the city. Open cellar doors make sidewalks rather treacherous, and we’ve all heard the saying that New Yorkers are rude, obnoxious, and always in a hurry. On the surface, New York is the worst. However, what I’m here to tell you is that NY is by far the friendliest place I’ve ever been in. I’ve traveled to Asia, Europe, and many cities in the U.S. — yet, New York is the easiest place for me to navigate. Whenever I’m waiting at a street corner, there’s always somebody who says “you can go now.” They never bother to introduce themselves— they just grab my elbow and kindly take me across the street. New Yorkers are no nonsense. Despite the reputation, I’ve never been mugged or experienced any danger, which I can’t say to be true in other cities that I have visited. Autumn in New York is truly a wonderful time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
