This is a solid primer on addressing the challenges of starting a role working remotely. When COVID hit, I remember hearing from a number of recent graduates who found it difficult to work 100% remotely. They cited things like the inability to build relationships with colleagues, the lack of a tangible team and company culture, and feelings of isolation. Edgerton lays out some actionable tips that can help address these and other potential roadblocks to working remotely. https://bit.ly/45cNP9m #workplace #hr #careeradvice #remotework

I'm really disappointed in those close to me saying that remote work is dumb, you won't have a life and my time spent applying for remote work is wasteful. I'll remain quiet and still apply 😉 I have the right attitude and a growth mindset. All the more reason to prove everyone wrong . #remotework #career #dreamjob #recruiter #growthmindset

At some point in my life, I was always down to move for an opportunity that made sense. NOW, in this world we currently live in, knowing what I know and knowing that to most companies you are a number and could be cut at any time, why would you risk putting yourself in a terrible position where you might not have a job in 2 months? From a company side, I believe they should have a 2-3 month remote grace period to make sure that this role is viable and needs to be in the office at all. It would alleviate so much stress on the employee side and might even save the company money for relocation if the role is viable remote. #remotework #business
