2019 was such a [redacted] year. I got laid off four days after turning 50 (guess I hit my agency sell-by date?). I lost my mom and father-in-law in a three-month span. And I sold my childhood home, which brought up A LOT. I had come loose from my mooring, adrift and kind of broken. So I resolved that I would create FOR ME. I mean, sure, I would look for freelance work—and I'm so very thankful to the former co-workers who asked me to join their rosters. But I also committed to recording music again. Tomorrow night, I'll be performing with a PHENOMENALLY talented band of PHENOMENALLY WONDERFUL people. I couldn't be more grateful to find myself in this place. And I couldn't be more grateful to the people who helped right me when I needed it, and continue to right me whenever I drift.
So glad you had that creative outlet to help you through..Hard to believe that was 5 years ago. I know that love with two wings is watching over you! We caught some of the show and really enjoyed it! XXOO

5moI love this for you, Ross. You're an inspiration and I hope I can take a little of this lesson with me in this (redacted) year I'm having. Wish I could be there to see you play!
