6 years ago, my dad passed away from cancer. Just few months before that, he bought an old Porsche 911 Carrera. He loved this car so much that he never let me drive it. He thought, it was too complex for me to drive (because of a tricky 2nd gear maybe?). Or maybe he just thought I wasn’t careful enough. After he was gone, I took the car for a long drive and even went really fast (when the road was empty). As I drove, I wondered why he thought I couldn’t handle it. In 2006 (so 17 years back in time), I started an internship at Boehringer Ingelheim and people trusted me a lot (even though I was just 18 years old at the time and had almost no experience at all). They believed I could do the work (e.g. designing a project color scheme and a logo) and gave me chances to show my capabilities. This really motivated me, and I super was impressed by that culture. My dad was careful because he cared about his car. But in my job, I learned that trusting people can help them do better. Today, I try to trust and support the people I work with. I want them to feel like they can take on challenges and do super great things (even if that is sometimes hard in Corporate environments). My internship at Tesla has just ended. During my time here, there hasn't been a single thing I wanted to do but couldn't. There's just not enough time 😄 As a Supercharger Construction Purchasing Intern, I wore two hats. As a buyer and as an analyst. I developed KPIs to automatically measure the team's performance, savings, and price control rate. I built from scratch and piloted the Supplier Performance Evaluation System (SPES) to systematically evaluate supplier performance after each construction. I created tools to automatically and instantly evaluate bids, saving more than 80% of manual labor for each project. In parallel, I took ownership and managed the sourcing for Installation Partners in Germany to expand the Supercharger network. 🚀 A Glimpse into My Most Memorable Event at Daimler Truck Internship 🚚 One week ago marked a significant event in my journey with Daimler Truck – the launch of the innovative Mercedes-Benz eActros 300. As I reflect on my participation in this event, I'm reminded of the challenges overcome and the valuable lessons learned. Finding the perfect venue was my first major task. After exploring a myriad of options, Dusit Thani Laguna stood out with its futuristic feel and sustainable ethos, perfectly complementing the eActros 300. The reveal of the eActros 300 itself posed another unique challenge. How do you effectively drape a truck that's 3 meters high, 9 meters long, and 2.5 meters wide? My search across the island, and even as far as Hong Kong, finally led to a solution that balanced impact with practicality – a majestic drape covering the truck's front, creating a moment of suspense and awe during the reveal. Working with a PR agency was another first for me in this event. The collaboration with Hoffman PR was a deep dive into the world of public relations. Their expertise in crafting impactful press releases and preparing our executive team for media engagements taught me the nuances of maintaining a positive public image. I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to my manager Lishan Wang for the trust and opportunities to grow, and a special mention to Ryan, my fellow intern, for his unwavering support from early morning until the event's close. Halfway through my internship as a Process Engineer at Tesla. Service manufacturing has provided me with unique opportunity to deal with wide variety of challenges everyday. During my time here so far, I enjoyed working with diverse teams on both energy products and automobiles, ranging from analyzing data, identity gaps, to conducting trials and establishing novel processes that was never present before. My trials and ideas did fail a number of times. But, conducting them helped me navigate to next opportunity to solving the same problem, or helped me identify a different problem. Over the period, I had learnt that simple solutions can sometimes be the most effective ones. I would admit that the extremely challenging environment at Tesla brought the best version of myself. Pushing myself to my 100 percent almost everyday, helped me realize the impact that I can create, and provided me with a lot of confidence on my abilities as I could see myself getting better week after week. Huge credits to my manager Sheik Mohammed Ashiq as well as my mentor Muhammad Taimur Kamil, CPIM for providing me with freedom to do things my way, as well as protecting me wherever necessary. Above all, the past 12 weeks have been a journey of self-discovery. It's been a time to learn not only about the intricacies of the work that I do, but also about my own capabilities. Finally completed my internship today at Vitesco Technology.

The compulsory internship is coming, and I have selected Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam as the first place in my career. Honestly, the position I applied for is not directly related to my experience. While I have a background in AI/Machine Learning. However, I took the position titled "Automotive Testing Framework Developer Intern". There are several reasons for this decision: 1. Bosch holds a special place in my heart. I had the chance to participate in Coderace 2023 and was fortunate enough to win first place. The one-week talent exchange that followed was a transformative experience. I was deeply impressed by the company’s working environment and culture. 2. The recruitment process was incredibly efficient. I received several offers and interview invitations, but Bosch stood out by being the fastest (just 2 hours after interview with managers). Their prompt response made me feel valued and played a significant role in my decision. (although I was just an intern LOL 😅 ) 3. I believe my work will have a meaningful impact. In my role, I will be working on the Airbag ECU system. This is not just a technical challenge but a crucial responsibility. It's a reminder that technology isn't just about innovation; it's about making a tangible difference in the world.

Dear Network, As you may know, I'm currently part of the Global Internship Program of Volvo Cars, and since half of the program has already passed by I would like to say some thoughts that I think are worth to share. First, I find so nice that since the very beginning of the program, my voice and my ideas were taken into consideration in every meeting and conversation that I have had even if I was "just" the intern, obviously sometimes there are other or more efficient ideas than the ones that I can give, but that's fine because that also lets me learn how to be better and the fact that no one will just disregard what you just said makes me feel in a very nice work environment where I'm happy to go everyday. Also, the work-life balance is amazingly well-proportioned, because of course you are expected to finish the task that you are supposed to do, but it is also completely fine to ask for help in case of needed and no one will complain about it since all we know that it can happen to anyone in the team, and from an intern perspective it gives a lot of relief. In conclusion, these were just some thoughts from an intern perspective and let's see what the last two months of the program can bring, surely a lot a knowledge in the field but also hopefully a lot of challenges and nice experiences just as it has been doing so far.
